Warm Woods & Painted White Cabinetry
Cheri can’t get enough of pairing warm woods, such as walnut, with cool painted white cabinet doors. She says the wood warms up the white. Cheri also loves adding gold hardware to this combo, particularly this finish from Berenson Hardware in the photo above. For a countertop that pulls in all the colors together, she suggests the Eternal Calacatta Gold from Silestone, which we stock at Metropolitan.
Hint of Gray Cabinetry & Dark Countertops
If you want to move away from the white cabinetry trend, Cheri suggests our new color Crushed Ice, which has been a top color for us recently. It’s an ever-so-slight take on gray, giving off some warmth. Pairing this cabinet color with a dark gray countertop, such as Soapstone of Jet Mist honed, is a beautiful contrast. She also loves both of these stones for their durability. We have this combo on display in our Wakefield showroom.
Black or graphite finish hardware really pop against the Crushed Ice and complement the darkness of the counters. These two options shown in the photo are also from Berenson.
Dark Green Cabinets
Cheri is crazy for the dark green cabinet trend, and would love to do a kitchen in this shade! We love this inspiration photo from Studio McGee. We can do custom color matching at Metropolitan – we can’t wait for a green project!
