Governor Baker witnessed firsthand where local cabinets and countertops are being created, which go into homes and apartment buildings throughout the state. Governor Baker directly addressed Metropolitan’s manufacturing workforce on the factory floor. “Massachusetts leads the nation because of innovative and successful companies like Metropolitan Cabinets & Countertops,” said Governor Baker. “We are proud they chose to expand their Massachusetts operation and look forward to the impact Metropolitan’s success will have on the local economy and their tremendous employees.”

Metropolitan increased its Norwood industrial production area to over 145,000 square feet (the largest cabinet manufacturing facility in New England). The new cabinet mill and stone fabrication shop host the latest computer-driven technology, producing top of the line, products that are being manufactured local.
