The holidays bring lots of people, food and drinks into the kitchen, and it can be hard to keep your mind on maintaining your stone counters! Here are few quick tips to keep in mind during the holiday entertaining season:
- Clean up spills quickly by blotting with a paper towel
- Cut acidic fruits, such as lemons and limes, on cutting boards to avoid etching on natural stone
- Use a wine bottle coaster to avoid rings
- Place trivets under hot serving platters
- Wash your counters after guests leave with soap and water, or a stone cleaning product. DO NOT use harsh chemicals on the countertop such as Ajax or bleach
